The mortal remains of Major Ashish Dhonchak, martyred in an anti-terror operation in Jammu’s Anantnag were taken to Haryana’s Panipat for last rites. Chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ by school students and locals reverberated in the street that was used to carry the mortal remains. Notably, before he was posted in Kashmir, Major Dhonchak was posted in Punjab’s Bathinda. He was also honoured with the Sena Medal last month.
