During today’s special session of Parliament, the Women’s Reservation Bill
will be tabled in the Lok Sabha. The Union Cabinet approved the bill on Monday,
which will secure 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state
assemblies.The measure, known as the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam,’ according
to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will ensure that more women become members of
Parliament and assemblies.
