official entry for the 96th Academy Award in the Best International Feature
Film Category. Notably, the movie, starring actor Tovino Thomas, has been
selected as it deals with a global issue and delves into the harrowing events
surrounding the severe 2018 Kerala floods that wreaked havoc in the Southern
coastal State. The survival drama became the highest-grossing Malayalam film of
the year and the top three highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time.
