Bharat on September 28, 2022, paid tribute to brave freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his 115th birth anniversary. Born in 1907 in Punjab, he took on the British rule without fear. Singh was hanged by the British at a young age of 23 on March 24, 1931. In December 1928, Bhagat Singh, along with Sukhdev and Rajguru, planned to avenge the death of Indian nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai and plotted to assassinate the Superintendent of Police James Scott in Lahore. In 1929, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt bombed the Central Assembly Hall in Delhi, amid slogans of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’.
