Bharatiya benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex opened September’s 29 trade session higher. Nifty 50 inches towards 19,600, Sensex is nearing 65, 250. Larsen & Toubro’s heavy civil infrastructure business vertical has won an order worth Rs 7,000 crore from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. Shares of NTPC are trading near their record high of Rs 247.75, which it hit earlier on September 29. The stock has gained for three out of the last five trade sessions. The stock has gained 10.5% in the past month, and 45.5% this year, so far.
