The Arunachal Pradesh Government will constitute a
Special Tiger Protection Force (STPF) in the State as per the guidelines of the
National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) for three Tiger Reserves of the
State – Namdapha, Pakke and Kamlang with creation of 336 regular posts.
The decision was taken during the State cabinet
meeting held in Itanagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pema Khandu. A slew of other decisions were approved for the development of education, health sectors among others.
According to the State Government, the creation of
STPF will lead to protection of tigers and their habitats, protection of
wildlife habitats, prevention of smuggling of wildlife articles, protection and
safeguarding the assets of the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate
Change including those of Tiger Reserves and assisting in scientific management
of Forests.
The STPF will be a dedicated and specialized force
with its own structure and composition as required for Tiger Reserves. The force
would comprise of one company of 112 personnel each for three Tiger Reserves in
the State and each company would be distributed into three Platoons and 18
Sections.
Other Steps To Be Taken By Arunachal Govt
All the Third Language Teachers of various tribes, who
have developed their scripts and promoted local dialect, will get a lump-sum
honorarium of Rs 1,000 per month for 10 months in a year. There are at least 1,043
language teachers presently.
Under the Industrial and Investment Policy 2020, Arunachal
Pradesh will be turned into a favoured destination for investment, driven by
state-of-art infrastructure, imparting skills of latest technology and
providing a conducive ecosystem for generating employment and balanced regional
development.
Large scale industries and investment attracters will
get special incentive in the form of amended power subsidy, among others, and tax
incentives with Single Window clearance for all mandatory licenses.
The government will facilitate rational and equitable deployment
of General Duty Medical Officers and Specialists under the Transfer and Posting
Policy.
The government will strengthen the District
Administration for convenience of the people by creation of 414 contingency
posts for various administrative units in Arunachal Pradesh under the amended the
Home Guard Rules 2023.
As many as 293 Group C and MTS posts will be created for
various administrative centers and 60 posts for various administrative centers.
The government created two new pay circles with its headquarter
at Rikmum Riangio and Nyoriq circle bifurcating Tali Administrative center. The
Circle Office, Pipsorang has been upgraded to Sub Divisional Office and Circle
Office Chambang has been up-graded to SDO for administrative convenience.
Three important byelaws will come in to effect for the
proper management of solid waste in the State, namely-Arunachal Pradesh Solid
Waste (Management& Handling) Byelaws 2023, Plastic Waste Management Byelaws
2023 and Construction & Demolition Waste Management Byelaws 2023.
Under the Arunachal Pradesh Real Estate (Regulation
& Development) Rules 2020, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) and
Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (REAT) under the provisions of Real Estate
(Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 of the Central Government will be
established.
Rural and urban water supply system aimed at ensuring
sustainable management of water supply system across the State will be
maintained under the Operation and Maintenance Policy.
