Mahendra Singh Dhoni, famously known as the Captain
Cool, has the credit of being the captain of the World Cup winning team and has
many feathers on his cap. He is a cricketer, a mentor, a businessman and also a
film producer all owing to his impeccable talents.
Besides, Dhoni is an honorary Lieutenant Colonel in
Indian Territorial Army, and he is well known for being a qualified
paratrooper. However, not many know that another hobby that Dhoni laid hands on
was farming in 2020.
In a rare video interview, mentioning the reason
behind becoming a farmer, the cricketer stated his family had been farming
since he was a child.
Adding that he got the idea of making it more
extensive during the Covid pandemic, Dhoni said, “I come from a small town.
From the childhood, we had proximity to farming was there. It was not a new
concept for. As far this farming is concerned, we started before Covid hit. We
had land of around 40 acres but were farming on just 4 to 5 acres. During
Covid, when I had time in my hand, I felt this is a right time to enter farming
full time.”
Dhoni expressed that he finds the process of
agriculture very fascinating. Amazed at the fact that a ladyfinger at night is
small in size and grows full in size the next morning, the cricketer explained the
process of crop production is so intriguing that it made him more enthusiastic
about farming.
However, hobby of MS Dhoni is not limited to farming.
He is a big-time bike hoarder as he has a huge bike and car collection at his
Ranchi farmhouse.
Dhoni’s collection of automobiles included at least 70
bikes, featuring the likes of Kawasaki Ninja, Ducati, Harley Davidson and many
more. Apart from that, his garage also has 15 luxury and vintage cars, which
are rare to find these days.
Earlier, Dhoni’s wife Sakshi revealed interesting
details about her personal life. Talking about their lovely daughter, she shared
that Ziva has the qualities of both her parents and is interested in becoming a
Naturalist.
