Actor Kendy Zirdo, originally hailing
from Arunachal Pradesh, is a prominent face in Malayalam film industry. And now
she is in buzz again with Cheena Trophy, the third movie from the Southern
industry.
This time she portrays a mysterious Tibetan
character, which relocates to Kerala with a secret plan, however, over the
course of time falls in love with the village and locals. Cheena Trophy, with
Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role and directed by Anil Lal, got released today.
Zirdo has played role of different
ethnicity. In her debut Malayalam movie Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, she essayed
the Japanese-Malayali woman Hitori in 2019. Her last role was a small one in
Kanakam Kamini Kalaham.
Talking about various challenges she
face like learning new language the young actor said she is yet to learn Malayalam
and owing to this her colleagues laugh on the sets or make fun and she then
feels clueless about the joke.
However, in Android Kunjappan, the
dialogues are more in English.
Zirdo recently relocated to Mumbai and
in her Home State she is active in theatre dramas.
Elucidating more about it, she lamented
the fact that many people from other parts of Bharat do not know about the number of
freedom fighters who fought the British in her State. “Our plays are about
them. The plays, Chowpa Plang Lu, Abor War, Ninu 80 and Arunachal Ek Safarnama
are in Arunachali Hindi and Nishi, a language spoken there,” she added.
Like any other actors, Zirdo too resent
the stereotyping.
