Neiketuno Sechü was crowned Miss
Nagaland in an annual glittering beauty pageant held at Capital Cultural Hall.
The 19 years’ old beauty bagged a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with gift
hampers worth Rs 1.2 lakh.
Besides, Neiketuno received citations
and a direct entry to Miss North East and Miss Grand India, and also represent
the state in other national and international pageants.
Sechu not only secured the coveted title
but also emerged as the winner of the Miss Perfect Ten subtitle, adding another
feather to her cap.
Vimgha Sheqi (20) and Ilihika Aye (19)
emerged as first and second runners-up respectively.
Vimgha received Rs 70,000 along with
gift hampers and a direct entry to Miss North East while Ilihika received Rs
50,000 along with gift hampers.
Other subtitle winners included Miss
Multi Media (Vimgha Sheqi), Miss Beautiful Skin (Keziah Mero), Miss Beautiful Smile
(Tsiawavi Nyuwi), Miss Talent (Flora Kent), Miss Photogenic (Ilihika Aye) and
Queen of Hearts (Katienla P Longchar).
Elated over the win, Neiketuno expressed,
“It is overwhelming. With this platform, I will encourage young girls and boys
as well to come and be part of events like this.”
Asked about her first project, she
replied it would be to focus on mental health.
The 32nd edition of Miss Nagaland 2023
was organised by the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland in collaboration
with Atomy India and Antodya Skills Foundation as the title sponsor.
Altogether, 14 contestants from most of
the districts in the State participated in the pageant.
