In line with Prime Minister Narendra
Modi led Centre’s goal, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha urged the people to
work towards making Bharat a developed country by 2047.
“PM Narendra Modi has been saying that a
developed country needs to be established by next 2047. We have taken sankalp
(oath) but we need to fulfil it.
We need to extend the benefits of all
the flagship programmes of Modiji to people living in remote places. That’s the
purpose of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” said CM Saha at an interaction
held as part of the yatra in Suryamaninagar in West Tripura district.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being
undertaken across the nation to ensure that benefits of the Central Government
schemes reach every doorstep even in far-flung places. PM Modi inaugurated the
yatra in Jharkhand on November 15.
Following the directions of the PM to
spread awareness about the benefits of the welfare programmes by holding camps,
CM Saha said, “The Narendra Modi Government is transparent. The Tripura Government
is also moving in this direction.”
PM Modi interacted with beneficiaries of
the Central Government schemes through videoconferencing on Saturday.
He mentioned free treatment, ration,
permanent houses, toilets and connections of gas, power, tapped water as well
as benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman
Nidhi and other schemes.
Over 1.5 lakh beneficiaries have shared
their experiences in this journey, according to officials.
Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Paul and
officials were also present at the programme.
