Three people were confirmed killed in
rain-related incidents while additional three were feared dead as incessant heavy
rainfall battered districts of Tamil Nadu and has brought regular life to a halt
following massive flooding in the State’s southern districts.
The Indian Air Force, the Army jointly
with other rescue teams are conducting relief operations. Meanwhile, the India
Meteorological Department-IMD has predicted light to moderate rain in the State.
It has issued a yellow alert for today for Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli,
Thoothukudi and Tenkasi, the most affected districts in the State.
