The Prime Minister extended his wishes of peace and prosperity to the entire nation on the occasion of Christmas while recalling the nobel teachings of Jesus Christ on December 25.
“Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas! Hope this festive season brings joy, peace and prosperity to everyone. Let us celebrate the harmony and compassion that Christmas symbolises and work for a world where each one of us is happy and healthy. We also recall the noble teachings of Lord Christ,” PM Modi, posted in a message via his official social media account.
People all over the country celebrated Christmas eve with collective midnight prayers that took place in different states. The churches were decked up with lights while the people burst firecrackers in Madhya Pradesh to celebrate the winter festival.
Christmas, an annual festival that marks the birth of Jesus Christ, observed by billions of people worldwide on December 25 is a religious and cultural event. Midnight mass prayers were held at Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Church in the national capital and St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral in Bengaluru on the occasion of Christmas.
Carol singing, bright Christmas lights, and tastefully decorated Christmas trees entice folks to join in the celebrations on December 25.
