The Assam Government has begun a
gigantic recruitment drive, which is set to fill vacancies within the Education
department as part of a broader effort to provide job opportunities to the
state’s youth under Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s 1 lakh Employment
Scheme.
This noteworthy drive, to generate
employment and bolster the Education department, has taken within its ambit
both Elementary Education and Secondary Education vacancies with over 10,000
posts publicized.
Informing about the initiative, Assam CM
wrote in his X handle, “The government will not only deliver, but exceed the
promise of creating 1 lakh plus government jobs in the most transparent manner
in Assam’s history.”
Expediting the process of job
generation, the submission of application for these positions has been
publicized in leading newspapers from Assam.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu,
talking about the advertisements by the Directorate of Secondary Education,
said the recruitment will be to fill up 1,424 vacant positions of Post Graduate
Teachers.
Additionally, as many as 7,249 vacant
positions of Graduate teachers in Arts and Science streams, and Graduate
teachers in Hindi and Sanskrit subjects of the different Provincialised
Secondary Schools will be filled up, he added.
The minister further said the
recruitment will also be to fill up 1,424 Post Graduate Teachers and 7,249
Graduate teachers in Arts and Science streams, Graduate teachers in Hindi and
Sanskrit subjetcs of the different Provincialised Secondary Schools.
The Assam Government’s recruitment drive
is a testament to its commitment in generating substantial employment
opportunities and strengthening the quality of education by staffing the
department with qualified individuals.
