Prime Minister Narendra Modi held interactions with the beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra via video conferencing on December 27. Thousands of beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from across the country took part in the event. The programme was also graced by the presence of Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs and local-level representatives.
PM Modi addressed the gathering and said that the campaign was launched to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the Centre which is expected to reach lakhs of villages.
“Viksit Bharat Yatra is launched to reach far-off places and connect people. I want to thank the people of the country, especially the women for making the program a huge success. The Viksit Bharat Yatra commenced some 50 days ago, but it has already reached lakhs of villages,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that once the Viksit Bharat Yatra was started, additional 4.5 lakh new applications have been received for the Ujjwala Gas connection. “Over one crore Ayushman cards are in circulation to the people of the country. Health check-ups of close to 1.25 crore people have been done,” he added.
The Ayushman Bharat Health Account cards have a unique identifier for a citizen in the health ecosystem, PM Modi said, “ABHA cards are being produced at a rapid pace. People are not aware of the ABHA cards. This card keeps a record of medical reports, medicine prescriptions, blood group information among other details.”
The Prime Minister has regularly interacted with the beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra all across the country, since its launch. The interactions happened on November 30, December 9 and 16 — through video conferencing.
The Prime Minister has also interacted with Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra beneficiaries in person on two consecutive days, December 17-18, during his recent visit to Varanasi.
