platform IG Drones received the IISSM Annual Excellence Award for the Best
Disaster Response or Search and Rescue Company at the IISSM Annual Global
Conclave.
The event took place in the presence of Union
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari at Taj Vivanta Surajkund in Faridabad.
This achievement recognises IG Drones’ extraordinary
contribution to disaster management, particularly spotlighting its pivotal role
in the aftermath of the Sikkim floods – a rare act of humanitarian utilization of
drones for disaster response and relief.
Elated after receiving the honour, IG
Drones Founder and CEO Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya expressed, “It is a testament to
our unwavering commitment to innovation in disaster management.”
The recognition will “serves as a
motivating force, propelling us to continue pushing the boundaries of what our
drone technology can achieve”, he added.
In October this year, Sikkim reeled under
flood caused by the incessant monsoon rains, which harshly ravaged the State’s
infrastructure and interrupted communication networks.
In these hours of hardship, IG Drones performed
an outstanding job in restoring the fiber optic line of telecommunication and
mobile.
It is notable that in Bharat, for the
first time authorities have used drones with such precision and perfection to
restore network stability and provided detailed information in record time for further
strategizing effective plans for restoration in disaster-hit State.
