In the autopsy report of Rakesh Kamal, Teena Kamal and their college-going daughter Arianna, the medical authorities ruled their death as a murder-suicide. The wealthy Indian-origin couple, in mid 50s, were discovered dead inside their US$ 5 million mansion in Dover town last year on December 28.
Dover town is situated about 32 kilometres southwest of downtown Boston, the capital of Massachusetts State in US. The area, where the slain family dwelled, was a good neighbourhood along with a safe and secure community.

Massachusetts State Police is taking assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in detecting the origin of the weapon. Dover and Massachusetts State Police have been continuing its probe.
The primary inquiry pointed out domestic violence as the reason and did not indicate the involvement of outside parties initially, as per Morrissey.
A relative, who had stopped by at the Kamal mansion to check on the family, came to know about the occurrence and dialled 911, the helpline number of Dover Police at about 7:24 pm on December 28.
As per Morrissey, there had been no police records or domestic incidents connected to the mansion previously.
A year ago, the deceased family’s spacious mansion, located at one of the richest areas in the State, went into foreclosure and was put up for sale at US$ 3 million, as per The New York Post report.
Know About Rakesh, Teena & Arianna
- Rakesh and Teena had launched EduNova , an education company, in 2016 but it turned dysfunctional and subsequently was dissolved in December 2021. Both apparently faced financial problems in recent years. Online records corroborate the fact.
- As per EduNova’s website, Teena was listed as the chief operating officer of the firm, mentioning her as alum of Harvard University in US and Delhi University in Bharat while Kamal, an alumnus of Boston University, MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University in US, held many executive-level positions in the education-consulting sector.
- Teena, listed as one of the board of directors for the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, had filed a case of bankruptcy in September 2022 that got rejected owing to lack of documentation.
- She had experience of over three decades in the education and technology industries.
- LinkedIn profile stated Arianna, on the other hand, was a student at Middlebury College and was studying neuroscience.
