During his Ayodhya Tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a surprise visit to the home of the 10th-crore beneficiary of the Ujjwala scheme, Meera Majhi, in Ayodhya. Now, Narendra Modi has penned a letter and sent gifts for Majhi and her family. The gift carries a tea set, a drawing book with colours, among others, adding a personal touch to the Prime Minister’s gesture.
Via his letter, PM Modi wished Meera Majhi and her family members on the occasion of New Year.
“It was a pleasure to have met you and the members of your family in Ayodhya – the holy city of Lord Ram, and drink tea prepared by you,” he wrote in the letter.
“Once back from Ayodhya, I saw your interview on many TV channels. It was nice to see the confidence of you and your family members, along with the simple and easy manner in which you all shared your experiences,” PM Modi said.
He further stated that it is the smile on the faces of crores of family members like you that is my capital and my biggest satisfaction. It gives me tremendous energy to work wholeheartedly for the country.
“You (Majhi) becoming the 10th-crore beneficiary of the Ujjwala Scheme isn’t just a number, rather I see it as a link with the fulfilment of big dreams and the resolve of crores of people of the country,” he expressed.
“I have complete faith in Amrit Kaal, the vitality and enthusiasm of the crores of people of the country, full of aspirations just like you, will play a significant role in achieving the collective goal of building a grand and developed Bharat,” PM Modi added.
The PM made a visit to her house and had tea on December 30. Majhi has expressed her happiness once PM Modi unexpectedly visited her residence.
“I was unaware that he would visit us. He came to our home and we are feeling very happy. We were unaware that God would arrive in such a way,” she had said with a smile on her face.
PM Modi was offered tea at the home of the beneficiary of the flagship scheme that facilitates the clean cooking fuel such as LPG cylinders to rural and deprived households, which otherwise made use of firewood, coal, and cow-dung cakes for cooking.
The PM further inquired about the well-being of the beneficiaries’s family members and the benefits she got through the schemes of the government.
