Ayodhya is currently witnessing rapid work to develop it into an international religious tourism city. Ayodhya is expected to host many VVIP guests from the country and abroad for the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony to be held on 22 January. Separate arrangements are being made by the government for VVIP tourists. To make Ayodhya a net zero carbon emission city, the service of electric cars has now been started.
Twelve electric cars have been deployed to ensure a pleasant journey to VVIP tourists and they will be parked at Ayodhya Cantt Railway Station, Ayodhya Dham Junction, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya to welcome VVIPs.
“These electric cars are put in place for all those visiting Ram Mandir. One can find electric cars everywhere in Ayodhya now. The 12 cars, currently available in the fleet, will be made available for booking via a mobile application,” said Dilip Pandey, a local supervisor of the electric car taxi service in Ayodhya.
“More cars will be added by January 22. These electric cars will facilitate the visits to all the religious centres like Ram Janambhoomi, Suraj Kund, Saryu river, Bharat Kund, etc. The fare for these electric cars is decided to stand at Rs 250 for 10kms, Rs 400 for 20 kms and goes up to Rs 3000 for 12 hours,” Dilip Pandey further added.
The trial of Bharat manufactured electric cars has been commenced for the people coming to Ayodhya Cantt station. The people commuting via the electric cars are also asked to share their feedback. Passengers coming to Ayodhya railway station have praised the development seen in Ayodhya as well as their electric car journey.
