Jammu and Kashmir is preparing itself for a significant influx of investment. Expressing optimism in the response received from industrialists, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has an expectation of receiving an investment of Rs 2500-3,000 crores in the recent future.
Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Summit during the Jammu and Kashmir State Seminar, LG Manoj Sinha expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, and laid much stress upon the crucial role of the central sector scheme led by Amit Shah. Sinha was in praise of the central government for providing important incentives, highlighting a positive shift in the investment atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir. Adding further, he said, “Jammu houses all premiere educational institutions of the country. There is no lack of skilled manpower. Handloom exports are registering an increase.”
“Large magnesium deposits are found along with the natural resources in Jammu and Kashmir. Why should investment be made in Jammu and Kashmir? It is great for business and also provides better and effective healthcare.” he remarked.
Pitching J&K, he added, “PM Modi has made it conducive to business after a long while. We can assure you maximum profit and establish Jammu and Kashmir as a crucial part of Bharat”.
The LG talked about the efforts to establish a viable environment in the region which is expected to attract investments and further solidify Kashmir’s integration with Bharat.
Reiterating Prime Minister Modi’s vision for Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha cited a recent report that places the region as the most searched online destination, even putting Switzerland behind. LG Manoj Sinha, filled with confidence, stated, “We will make it better than Davos,” in reference to the town in the Swiss Alps that is popular for hosting the World Economic Forum.
Keeping the security concerns in mind, Sinha stated that Jammu and Kashmir is a part of Bharat where terrorism is on its last breath. Despite our neighbours having tried many times, the terror ecosystem will be demolished. He emphasised on his commitment to establishing peace rather than buying it.
