A delegation of 35 Fortune American companies engaged in a roundtable meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel during the ongoing Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 on January 12. The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) delegation under the leadership of President and CEO Mukesh Aghi explored investment opportunities in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) and International Financial Services Centre (GIFT IFSC).
As per a press release, the discussion among the delegation members dealt with potential collaborations in Gujarat’s major industrial, business, IT, and FinTech sectors. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed great enthusiasm regarding the existing collaboration between USISPF and Vibrant Gujarat while making a note of its consistent efforts since 2017 in leading high-level industry delegations to the summit.
According to the press release, the significance of the US-India relationship was emphasised upon by the Gujarat Chief Minister Patel. He wrote on X marking that the USA remains Gujarat’s major export destination. The Chief Minister expounded that over 120 American companies have their bases established in Gujarat presently. He said, “A fruitful meeting with the delegation of USISPF was held. It showcased the potential for GIFT IFSCA and the investment opportunities in this smart city.”
USISPF President and CEO expressed his honour to lead a delegation of American companies that can potentially invest in and contribute to Gujarat’s development. He further states that Gujarat marks a state that epitomises Bharat’s entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude. Our participation at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit affirms our commitment to fostering economic ties along with exploring avenues for mutual growth and development between the United States and Gujarat.”
