Ayodhya, underway, to be lit up and adorned for tourists and high profile guests ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, global ride hailing application Uber has made an announcement for the introduction of electric auto rickshaws in the city in an effort to facilitate smooth and affordable travelling for locals as well as tourists in the following days.
Uber’s EV auto rickshaw services can be availed from the mobile app of the cab-booking company, that is in line with all its other services. This service is expected to be more affordable with increasing booking rate to accommodate an increasing number of rides.
Meanwhile, the company is currently under planning to commence the UberGo and Uber Intercity services in and around Ayodhya in the coming days. The intercity option will cover all the cities of Uttar Pradesh to Ayodhya.
Uber India President Prabhjeet Singh in a conversation, revealed, “We are absolutely thrilled to expand our services to Ayodhya as it emerges and grows on the travel map of millions. This expansion aims not only to provide enhanced mobility options for tourists and pilgrims but also unlocks earning opportunities for several people in the region.”
The company’s statement further read that the services of the company being launched in Ayodhya have a prime focus of promoting tourism in the city with “accessible, economical, and environment-friendly transportation options.”
Preparations of Ram Mandir consecration ceremony
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will enthrone Lord Ram at the sanctum-sanctorum of the newly-made Ram Mandir on January 22, where the preparations for the same are in full swing across Ayodhya, as the tourists inflow is expected to rapidly skyrocket this week.
The ceremonial installation of Lord Ram inside the temple will be proceeded in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Further, an announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been made of a special 11-day ‘anushthan’ (ritual) ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple.
The UP government, in the meantime, is currently constructing Bharat’s largest floating screen in Ayodhya Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat, which will be installed later at Aarti Ghat. This screen is installed to display the ceremony at the Ram Temple while showcasing programmes on Ayodhya’s history.
