West Bengal chief minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has announced to lead an interfaith rally across Kolkata on January 22, which happens to be the same day the Ram Temple will be inaugurated in Ayodhya. She highlighted that the rally will be covering mosques, temples, churches and gurdwaras along the way.
In conversation about the rally, Banerjee said, “I will do a rally on January 22 which will begin from Kali Mandir, where my visit will be to offer prayers to Maa Kaali.After this, we will hold an interfaith rally from Hazra to Park Circus maidan to hold a meeting there. Our rally will also cover mosques, temples, churches, and gurdwaras along the way. Everybody is welcome to be a part of the rally. People of all faiths are expected to be there at the rally”
The TMC supremo further announced that on the same day, TMC party members will be holding a rally in every block, in every district at 3pm.

Thousands of VIP guests receive invitation for Ram Temple opening
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple is to take place on January 22 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple on that day. According to the temple officials, the ceremony will be held for seven days starting on January 16.
Invitations have been extended to several VIPs from Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the ceremony. The Trust has undergone extensive planning to come up with elaborate arrangements to welcome and honour all attendees, presenting them with gifts that include ‘Ram Raj’. Teerth Kshetra Trust, as part of the celebration, has decided to distribute special ‘Motichoor ladoos’ prepared from desi ghee as ‘Prasad’ to the guests.
A member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, set to attend the event, will be presented with a 15-metre picture of the Ram temple that comes enclosed in a jute bag featuring an image of the sacred structure.
