Actors Arun Govil, Sunil Lahiri, and Deepika Chikhalia, known for Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’, paid a visit to Ayodhya to shoot their album ‘Hamare Ram Aayenge’. In conversation with media persons at an event in Ayodhya, Arun, who played the character of Lord Ram shared his thoughts regarding the Pran Pratistha Mahotsav of Lord Ram.
Arun Govil said, “Ayodhya’s Ram temple is our ‘Rashtra Mandir.’ The culture that stands has faded in the last few years across the globe, this temple will help send a message again that will strengthen our culture. It is Bharat’s heritage that will be known to the whole world, this temple is expected to be a source of inspiration. It is the centre of our faith, our pride and it will become our identity. Our morals should be adopted by all.”
He added, “I didn’t think that the consecration of Lord Ram would be such a big event. This is the biggest event of my life. There is increased emotion and energy and the whole country is only chanting Ram’s name, wherever Lord Ram is present. Where there are believers of Ram, there is an atmosphere of bliss there. As it was not imagined, the feeling of it is very pleasant because we are going to witness such a moment.”
Sunil Lahiri, playing the role of Laxman, expressed, “I consider myself extremely fortunate to be attending the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav as I am getting an opportunity to know what I did not know. Thereby, the atmosphere created in the country is peak religious and is very optimistic and transmits a very positive feeling to the world”
Further adding, Sunil Lahiri, said, “Those who are denying Ram, they have no idea what Ram is unless someone reads Ramayana. The epic also teaches us to live with dignity, this teaching is not known to those who deny Ram.”
Deepika Chikhalia played the role of Goddess Sita and said, “Our image has found home in the hearts of the people, even after the construction of Ram temple, I do not think that there will be any change in it. Ram Lala’s life is being consecrated and the people have given a lot of love. The characters of Ramayana as an extension will continue to receive similar love.”
Singer Sonu Nigam has given his voice to ‘Hamare Ram Aayenge’. The shooting of the album took place at Guptar Ghat, Hanumangarhi and Lata Chowk. Actors Arun Govil, Sunil Lahiri and Deepika Chikhalia are also expected to attend the Pran Pratistha ceremony.
