Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma visited
the Assam Rifles Complex in Zokhawsang to commend the Sentinel Care project, a
collaborative initiative by Assam Rifles, NIEDO, and Axis Bank.
Assam Rifles (East) Inspector General Major
Vinod Kumar Nambiar briefed the Chief Minister about the fully residential,
cost-free facility dedicated to providing underprivileged children in Mizoram
with top-notch infrastructure and expert guidance for NEET and JEE exams.
The CM toured the renovated and refurbished
residential buildings at the AR complex, now accommodating 28 young girls and
boys. These students will receive mentorship for 12 months, preparing them for
competitive entrance examinations in engineering and medical streams. Assam
Rifles, in partnership with NIEDO and Axis Bank, will provide comprehensive
guidance during this period.
Expressing his gratitude, the CM hailed DG
Assam Rifles for their pioneering work in guiding Mizoram’s youth toward a
prosperous future, in empowering the economically disadvantaged sections of
society and offering them opportunities for a better future.
The project aligns with Assam Rifles’
continued commitment to the nation-building role, emphasizing their dedication
to shaping a brighter tomorrow for Mizoram’s youth.
