Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as
successfully conducted the consecration or the pran prathistha ceremony of the
new Ram Lalla temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, will celebrate Diwali at his
Delhi home tonight.
The lighting of diyas is symbol of people
welcoming Lord Ram’s return with a massive enthusiasm to his birthplace.
As “Ram Lalla has been seated in his
grand temple in Ayodhya”, PM Modi urged “everyone to light the Ram jyoti and
welcome him” in their homes too on this auspicious occasion. He said, “Jai Siya
Ram”.
After conducting the pran prathistha
ritual for 84 seconds, PM Modi offered prayers to Lord Shiva at the Kuber Tila on
the premises of Ram temple.
Besides, the PM performed jalabhishek or
ritual of pouring water on the Shiva Linga and did circumambulation of the
temple.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra
Trust, responsible for building the Ram temple, is also renovating the ancient
Shiv temple on the Kuber Tila in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
PM Modi unveiled a statue of revered
bird Jatayu from sacred book of Ramayan on the premises of the Ayodhya temple.
Throwing light on Jatayu’s integrity
that was killed by Ravana while trying to save Goddess Sita from the demon king,
PM Modi mentioned such a sense of duty is the basis of a capable and divine Bharat.
Ram temple’s main entrance is located on
the eastern side, which can be approached by ascending 32 stairs through the
Singh Dwar. There are a total of five mandaps or halls in the temple – Nritya
Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prathana Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap.
