Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the
nation in celebrating Parakram Diwas, commemorating the birth anniversary of
the revered freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23.
In a message to the people of Bharat, PM
Modi expressed gratitude and highlighted Netaji’s unwavering dedication to the
nation’s freedom.
“Salutations to the people of Bharat on
Parakram Diwas. On his Jayanti today, we pay homage to the life and courage of
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. His steadfast commitment to our nation’s freedom
remains a timeless source of inspiration,” wrote PM Modi on X.
President Droupadi Murmu paid her
respects, acknowledging Netaji’s extraordinary commitment to Bharat’s independence
and his lasting impact on the freedom struggle.
“On his birth anniversary, observed as
Parakram Diwas, I pay my tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose! Netaji
demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the cause of Bharat’s freedom. His
unparalleled courage and charisma inspired Indians to fight fearlessly against
colonial rule. The nation will always remember Netaji with utmost gratitude,”
President Droupadi Murmu shared on X.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar joined
in commemorating Netaji’s birth anniversary, emphasizing his indomitable spirit
and unwavering commitment to Bharat’s independence. Quoting Netaji’s iconic
words, “Give me blood and I shall give you freedom,” Dhankhar highlighted their
enduring power as a rallying cry for liberty.
“Remembering the fearless leader, Netaji
Subhas Chandra Bose, on his birth anniversary, celebrated as Parakram Diwas.
May this day serve as a reminder to keep Bharat first and to work tirelessly
towards a united, prosperous, and free Bharat,” posted Vice President Dhankhar.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath also paid tribute to Netaji on his birth anniversary, acknowledging
him as a great hero of the freedom struggle and leader of the ‘Azad Hind Fauj.’
“Humble tribute to the great hero of the
freedom struggle, leader of ‘Azad Hind Fauj,’ ‘Netaji’ Subhash Chandra Bose on
his birth anniversary! Tribute to the memories of the national hero and revered
‘Netaji’ on ‘Valour Day’!” posted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on X.
The government had officially declared
January 23 as Parakram Diwas in 2021 to honour and commemorate the birth
anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
