In a groundbreaking move, the Republic
Day parade is set to witness a spectacular commencement as 100 women artists,
adorned in the traditional attire of their respective States, take the lead.
Playing a variety of traditional instruments, including conch shells and drums,
they will set the tone for the parade with the themes Vikshit Bharat or Developed
India and India: Mother of Democracy or Bharat: Loktantra Ki Jannee.
Breaking further ground, the parade will
feature 1,500 women artists from 30 States, presenting a vibrant showcase of
folk and classical dances. As a captivating backdrop, 1,900 sarees representing
all States will be elegantly displayed along the Kartavya path, adding a touch
of cultural richness to the festivities.
