Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged the students to maintain a balanced lifestyle and foster a healthy competitive spirit. During his annual ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme, he addressed the parents and emphasised on the need for a “no gadget zone” inside homes while advocating for quality family time without the interference of technology.
PM Modi talked about the significance of “recharging” not only electronic gadgets but also our bodies. He remarked, “If your mobile devices require to be charged, then shouldn’t you keep your body charged as well? To ensure this, getting proper sleep is also very significant.”
“There should be a presence of ‘no gadget zone’ inside the home. When you are with your family at the dining table, there should be no usage of phones to communicate,” he added.
The prime minister expounded on the three types of students, that is, induced by peer pressure, by parents and self induced.
“Children sometimes put pressure on themselves when they are not performing up to the mark and my suggestion to them is that they should set small goals during the preparation and gradually improve performance. This way they will be completely ready before the exams,” he said.
Calling students as the shapers of Bharat’s future, PM Modi said the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme is somewhat like an examination for him too. At the seventh episode of his outreach programme with students right before the examinations, he said students have become more innovative than ever.
“Our students will shape our future,” PM Modi said.
The Ministry of Education initiative namely ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ has been engaging students, parents and the teachers for the last six years.
