BigRock Motorsport has surprised the Pune crowd by taking the podium in all categories at the first Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), which is a pioneering franchise-based Supercross competition, held at Pune. The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) was the brainchild of the former international racers Veer Patel (a two-time national SX champion), Eeshan Lokhande and Aashwin Lokhande. The league is poised to usher in a new era of Supercross that is captivating audiences globally.
The six teams such as the BigRock Motorsport led by CS Santosh, Gujarat Trailblazers led by Gaurav Gill, Reise MotoSports owned by Yogesh Mahansaria, Team Mohite Racing led by Abhishek Mohite, APL Apollo-led SG Sports, SG Speed Racers, and BB Racing owned by Atul Chordia at the inaugural season is expected to be a thrilling spectacle for Supercross enthusiasts.
The first race of the Season 1 was held at Pune and displayed an impressive line-up of international champions and emerging Bharatiya stars across four categories: 450cc international riders, 250cc international riders, 250cc India-Asia mix, along with the fiercely competitive 85cc junior class. The top riders from around the globe are converging in Bharat for the series that is ready to serve as the ultimate proving ground for the supremacy of supercross. The commitment of the league is to provide a safe and competitive environment across the riders of all ages and skill levels.
Veer Patel, Co-founder and Director of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League, is ecstatic at the completion of the first race of the Season 1, stating, “The Pune crowd has left us overwhelmed by the response and the enthusiasm was unbeatable. Pune marked a spectacular debut, where 10,000 spectators flocked to the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi. The action now gears up for Ahmedabad on February 11 at the EKA Arena, Transstadia. The final event of the league will take place in the capital, New Delhi on February 25.
