Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the gathering of auto sector players and business leaders during the three-day Bharat Mobility Global Exhibition on February 2, the second day of the event at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, informed a senior official.
The aim of the exhibition is to showcase the strength of Bharat to the global market and position the country as an international player across industries.
Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce said the prime minister will give a special address on February 2. He further informed that 10 states, such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan, are also participating in the exhibition.
Having 800 exhibitors from over 50 countries, the expo will be highlighting cutting-edge technologies and breakthroughs in mobility. The 28 leading vehicle OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) that would participate includes Ashok Leyland, Ather Energy, Honda, Hyundai, and BMW.
The expo features covers specialised exhibitions like an auto show such as electric and hybrid vehicles, ACMA Automechanika, large-scale tyre exhibition, urban mobility solutions that includes two wheelers/e-bikes, drones, EV Infra Pavilion including charging stations and battery swapping as well as other energy sources like hydrogen in the mobility landscape.
More than 25 leading vehicle manufacturers are set to unveil new models and EVs.
Automotive players from both international and domestic will put their electric, hybrid, CNG and biofuel-powered vehicles on display.
In the company of the vehicle manufacturers, the event will house nearly 600 auto component makers, 50 battery firms, 10 tyre makers, over 15 technology and startups from the sector and 5 steel makers.
Japan, Germany, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand are some countries that will have dedicated country pavilions. There will also be additional international participation from the US, Spain, the UAE, Russia, Italy, Turkiye, Singapore and Belgium.
Further, the event will see participation from major international and Bharatiya battery manufacturers and battery supply chain and recycling companies.
Nearly 10 leading companies will also be showcasing EV infrastructure services that cover the charging stations and battery-swapping solutions over the course of the event.
Key highlight of the event will be the CEO Conclave, where leaders will gather to deliberate on the future trajectory of the mobility industry. The conclave will be chaired by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey.
