Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a series of review meetings at the Lok Sewa Bhawan in Dispur looking into arrangements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Assam on February 3 and 4.
He asked all officials to ensure grand success of the visit when the PM will lay the stone and dedicate numerous welfare schemes of worth over Rs 11,000 crore to the people.

During the February visit, PM Modi’s first to Assam this year, he is expected to sound the poll bugle for the Assam BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections as he will take part in a road show ahead of addressing a public rally at Khanapara veterinary college grounds.
