In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ruling BJP in Tripura has constituted a 73-member State executive committee as a part of its strategic planning.
The newly-announced committee includes prominent figures from the party’s leadership in the State, such as Chief Minister Manik Saha, Rajya Sabha MP Bilab Kumar Deb, Union MoS for Social Empowerment and Social Justice Pratima Bhoumik, and former deputy CM Jishnu Dev Varma.
Additionally, 14 invitee members have been included in the committee, ensuring diverse perspectives and expertise contribute to the party’s decision-making processes.
The announcement of 18 office bearers for the party’s State unit on December 30 further solidifies the organizational structure in preparation for the elections.
In a concerted effort to strengthen its electoral machinery, the State BJP has reconstituted the committees of office bearers for all its frontal organizations, including the Mohila Morcha and Yuva Morcha. This proactive approach reflects the party’s commitment to mobilising support and effectively navigating the electoral landscape in Tripura.
