Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Commonwealth Legal Education Association (CLEA) – Commonwealth Attorneys and Solicitors General Conference (CASGC) 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan on February 3. Further, the Prime Minister will also address the gathering during the event.
The focus of the conference is on the theme “Cross-Border Challenges in Justice Delivery” with the aim to discuss crucial issues in law and justice. Some key topics of discussion include judicial transition, ethical dimensions of legal practice, executive accountability, as well as the reevaluation of modern-day legal education.
This international gathering will have the participation of Attorney Generals and Solicitors from Commonwealth nations covering the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Caribbean, in the presence of various international delegations. The conference serves as a unique platform for different stakeholders in the Commonwealth legal fraternity for the interaction and exchange of ideas.
The conference hosts an important idea, that is the exclusive round table session designed for Attorneys and Solicitors General. The goal of which is to figure a comprehensive roadmap addressing challenges in legal education and transnational justice delivery. The aim of this initiative is to foster collaboration and strengthen ties within the Commonwealth legal community.
