Supreme Court advocate and BJP leader Ajay Agarwal has filed a complaint against Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar’s daughter Suranya Aiyar for her social media post, condemning Ram Temple’s Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya, reported news agency ANI.
Agarwal, who blamed Suranya Aiyar of making “objectionable remarks” on multiple social media platforms against the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the temple, lodged the report at Delhi’s Cyber Crime Police station on Saturday.
The lawyer mentioned, “Suryanya Aiyar has posted a seriously objectionable statement on Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms on January 20 and other dates” and urged to “go through this entire clip and register” a complaint under “the Section 153-A (for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) and other Sections of the IPC and other acts” appropriate after watching the 36-minute video.
Suranya Aiyar had decided to observe a three-day fast, in support for Bharat’s “Muslims” against what was being done “in the name of Hinduism and nationalism in Ayodhya”, commencing January 22, as per her Facebook post on January 19.
Owing to controversy over her post, the Resident Welfare Association or RWA of Delhi’s Jangpura asked Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar and his daughter to shift out of the colony, for disturbing peace and harmony in a written letter.
