In a major boost to Assam BJP, the ruling government in the State, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma and his leadership has garnered praises from an international entrepreneurship body for being “progressive and visionary” and transforming the State by bringing in drastic development in the socio-economic field.
Noting that “every leader has their quality”, Global Assamese Entrepreneurship Forum or GAEF head Anjana Bordoloi termed Dr Himanta Biswa as a visionary leader, who “implemented so many good initiatives” and which is pivotal for “the growth of every State or country”.
She accentuated Assam’s visibility, stature and prestige have gone up at national and international level in recent years particularly due to the CM’s transformative works.
Anjana brought to fore a past incident from her personal life when she was a student in Karnataka capital Bengaluru to present an example of a huge improvement in perception regarding Assam. She rued at that time “nobody knew where Assam was… But now… everyone knows about it. It is getting more visibility not only in Bharat but also across the globe.”
Among other positive aspects, she stated, Dr Himanta brought in are “merit in the system and transparency in the administration”.
GAEF works towards connecting Assam’s global entrepreneurs, collaborating with multiple government or semi-government agencies, helping numerous institutions to promote and import products, mentoring, networking, and creating a business plan.
