Megastar Rajinikanth’s newest release, ‘Lal Salaam’, has been released in theatres. Following that, Rajinikanth was spotted at the Chennai airport on February 10.
At the airport, in conversation with the media persons, Rajinikanth said, “The movie crew has pointed out that the movie ‘Lal Salaam’ has received great response from the people, and much gratitude to Lyca Productions who produced this film and Aishwarya (Daughter of Rajinikanth) who directed it.”
The film holds a special place in Thalaiva’s life as his daughter Aishwarya has directed it.
Further, he shared details of her upcoming movie ‘Vettaiyan’ saying, “Vettaiyan movie shoot is about 80 per cent done and only 20 per cent of the work is in progress.”
Beyond Rajinikanth, ‘Lal Salaam’ cast includes Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Dhanya Balakrishnan, Vivek Prasanna as well as KS Ravi Kumar. The film is billed as a sports drama, the writer of which is Vishnu Rangasamy and AR Rahman has scored the music of the film.
Prior to ‘Lal Salaam’, Rajinikanth was seen in ‘Jailer’, a worldwide box-office hit. In this movie, he played the role of a man seeking to avenge the death of his cop son. Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar as well as Jackie Shroff were seen in significant cameos.
In the coming months, Rajinikanth will be seen in ‘Vettaiyan’, directed by TJ Gnanavelraja.
The movie further features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh and is set to be released in the latter part of 2024.
