Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha flagged off the Astha Special train from Agartala Railway Station, marking the departure of over 400 devotees on a spiritual journey to the revered Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Astha Special Train, departing from Agartala on February 14, is set to reach Ayodhya on the 16.
Speaking at the event, Dr Saha reflected on the evolving spiritual landscape of Tripura, noting a departure from its predominantly atheist environment since the seventies. He credited this transformation to the recent governmental changes, both at the center under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership since 2014, and within the state.
The Tripura CM shed light on the nationwide impact of the inauguration of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya that “has ignited a spirit of trust and confidence” and unity since January 22. He expressed confidence in Bharat’s economic trajectory under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, foreseeing a rise in its global standing.
Encouraging the pilgrims embarking on the journey, Dr Saha urged them to seek blessings from Lord Ramlalla for the happiness and peace of the people of Tripura. He extended gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw for facilitating the Astha Special Train.
