The High School Leaving Certificate or HSLC Exam 2024 in Dhubri and Cachar districts of Assam faced a serious setback as the English question paper was leaked within just 30 minutes of the exam’s commencement. The leaked paper swiftly circulated on many social media platforms, raising concerns about the integrity of the examination process.
The leaked question paper, believed to have originated from Jaruar Char Public High School, surfaced at the onset of the exam, amplifying the ongoing exam-related controversies in the region. The Banskandi Nena Mia HS School examination centre in Cachar has been implicated as the potential source of the leak, with its teacher Hyder Hussain Majumdar being linked to the incident.
Despite stringent security measures implemented for the HSLC Exam 2024, the rapid and malicious dissemination of the leaked question paper points towards the challenges in maintaining the sanctity of the examination system.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu took to social media to strongly deny the allegations of a question paper leak in Cachar district, labelling them as entirely unfounded and fabricated. He reassured the public that authorities are diligently probing the source of these erroneous assertions and are ready to pursue legal action against anyone found accountable for disseminating false information.
