Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Goa Counterpart Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the Vijay Sankalp Yatra (bus tours) in Telangana, marking the beginning of an extensive campaign initiative by the BJP, on February 20. The yatra, spanning across 17 parliamentary constituencies, aims to bolster support for the party in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
Led by senior leaders and complemented by public and street corner meetings, the tours are strategically designed to disseminate the policies of the Narendra Modi Government while highlighting the alleged ‘hypocrisy’ of the Congress party, particularly in relation to unfulfilled promises made during State elections.
Himanta Sarma will commence the Kumram Bheem cluster tour with a public address in Mudhol, Adilabad, while Sawant will launch the Rajarajeswari cluster tour from Tandur, Vikarabad. These tours, divided into five clusters, will be participated by prominent figures including BJP president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, national general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and other senior leaders.
The itinerary encompasses visits to numerous constituencies, culminating in Bodhan, Nizamabad district, for the Kumram Bheem cluster tour, and Karimnagar district for the Rajarajeswari cluster tour. Additionally, tours such as the Bhagyalakshmi, Kakatiya-Bhadrakali, and Krishnamma clusters will traverse different regions of Telangana, ensuring comprehensive outreach.
The participation of senior leaders, Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers from various NDA States shows the BJP’s optimism about translating the popularity of Narendra Modi into electoral success, despite potential challenges in urban strongholds.
As the campaign will span over the next 10 days, the BJP aims to harness momentum and consolidate support, laying the groundwork for a formidable electoral presence in Telangana and beyond.
