The Himanta Biswa Sarma Government, through a social media post, has displayed a positive picture of Assam asserting the State will soon “become a contributory State in Bharat’s growth story by increasing its own revenue base”.
The optimistic prediction is supported by official figures reflecting Assam’s robust financial health as the total internal revenue collected for the Financial Year 2023-24 (April-November) surged by 14 per cent, reaching Rs 22,104 crore compared to the previous fiscal year’s Rs 19,446 crore for the same period.
