Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clarion call to create 2 crore Lakhpati Didi in Bharat, launched the initiative last month to empower 40 lakh woman entrepreneurs in the Northeastern State.
Jimlee Mahanta, a Lakhpati Didi from Assam, is one such example and has been inspiring many other women entrepreneurs to join this movement.
