In a significant development in the field of traditional medicine, Assam is set to get its second Ayurvedic College in Golaghat district after a hiatus of 76 years. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the foundation laying ceremony of the upcoming institution in the district’s Dudhnoi town on Monday.
Sonowal underlined Assam’s rich botanical diversity, asserting its profound history of local traditional medicines that have served generations. He expressed regret over the neglect of this unique heritage, particularly during the decades dominated by the Congress party.
