Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a heart-warming video (in Assamese with English subtitles) where young children can be seen excited about the upcoming Assam visit of PM Narendra Modi and photo session with the CM, who is fondly referred to as Mama (maternal uncle) by these kids.
Along with the video on X, he wrote, “Three (now two) days to go! Had a lively conversation with the little champs of #ModiKaParivar who are all excited to welcome Respected PM Narendra Modi. Had to oblige to their request for a photograph. #AssamLovesPMModi”.
PM Modi will visit the Kaziranga National Park on March 8. The visit is significant as he will stay overnight there becoming the first PM to do the same. The PM will embark on elephant safari on March 9.
The itinerary also includes visit to Tiger Reserve, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
