Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in ‘India’s Techade: Chips for Viksit Bharat’, virtually inaugurating the foundation stones of three semiconductor projects collectively valued at nearly ₹1.25 lakh crore today.
These initiatives align with the PM’s vision to position Bharat as a global leader in semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development, thereby generating ample employment opportunities for the nation’s youth.
The foundation stones were laid for a semiconductor fabrication facility at the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) in Gujarat, as well as Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facilities in Assam’s Morigaon and Sanand in Gujarat.
