The joint operation yielded significant results, with authorities identifying and apprehending a total of 1,187 individuals found to be residing in Mizoram without the requisite Inner Line Permit (ILP).
Following their detection, these individuals were promptly handed over to various police stations across Manipur for further legal proceedings.
The distribution of apprehended individuals across different police stations is as follows: Aizawl PS – 284, Bawngkawn PS – 311, Vaivakawm PS – 76, Kulikawn PS – 97, Zonuam PS – 245, Sairang PS – 6, Lunglei PS – 62, Champhai PS – 46 (including 6 minors), Saitual PS – 47, Serchhip PS – 4, Khawzawl PS – 4, and Mamit PS – 5.
In response to the operation’s findings, the CYMA issued a stern appeal to all construction workers, companies, and contractors to ensure that their employees possess the necessary work permits.
