The 2024 Lok Sabha elections, covering 543 seats, will take place in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, announced Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar today, marking the commencement of the world’s largest democratic exercise. Results are slated for June 4.
Simultaneous polls for Lok Sabha and Assembly seats will take place in four States – Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. Notably, Jammu and Kashmir, under President’s Rule since 2018, was excluded from the list.
