Arunachal Pradesh made a stellar start at the 3rd Northeast Games held in Nagaland on March 19, clinching two medals on the opening day.
Yaman Bunyi showcased outstanding performance in the discus throw event, securing the silver medal with a remarkable throw of 27.51 meters. Meanwhile, Meta Pao demonstrated her prowess in the Pencak Silat event, earning a bronze medal in the senior women’s below 45 kg category.
Taking to social media platforms, Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his heartfelt congratulations to Bunyi and Pao, hailing them as sources of inspiration and motivation for aspiring sportspersons in the State.
