President Vladimir Putin secured a resounding victory in Russia’s election, solidifying his already firm grip on power. The outcome underscored the dominance of Putin’s leadership, with the remaining candidates collectively receiving only a small fraction of the vote.
In his victory speech delivered in Moscow, Putin emphasised the importance of a united Russia, indicating to the West that the nation remains formidable, whether in times of conflict or peace.
“We have many tasks ahead. But when we are consolidated – no matter who wants to intimidate us, suppress us – nobody has ever succeeded in history, they have not succeeded now, and they will not succeed ever in the future,” Putin asserted to his supporters.
