Cricket enthusiasts in Guwahati have a reason to celebrate as the Indian Premier League (IPL) gears up for another thrilling season, with the city set to host matches once again.
Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati will witness the excitement of IPL for the second consecutive year, treating fans to two action-packed matches featuring the Rajasthan Royals as the home team.
Last season, Barsapara Stadium successfully hosted two IPL matches, including clashes between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings, as well as against Delhi Capitals.
The confirmation of IPL matches in Guwahati was announced by Ranjit Barthakur, the Executive Chairman of Royal Multisport, which owns the Rajasthan Royals franchise.
According to Barthakur, the matches are scheduled for the third and fourth weeks of May, with Rajasthan Royals set to face Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, replicating last year’s matchups.
