As the Lok Sabha Elections approach near, the Bharatiya Janata Party-BJP has unveiled its star-studded lineup of 40 campaigners, who will strengthen the party’s efforts in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma stands prominently among the array of influential leaders slated to canvass for BJP candidates in the State. The star campaigners list also features heavyweight names such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and former BJP Chief Nitin Gadkari.
In addition to national figures, the star campaugner list for Madhya Pradesh includes local stalwarts like Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, MP BJP chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma, and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The presence of leaders like Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath further amplifies the BJP’s campaign machinery in the State.
The Election Commission’s guidelines allow each ‘recognised’ party a maximum of 40 star campaigners. With Lok Sabha elections scheduled across the first four phases in Madhya Pradesh, beginning April 19, the BJP’s comprehensive campaign strategy aims to secure victory across all 29 constituencies in the State. The proactive approach contrasts with the Congress party’s disclosure of only 10 candidates so far, indicating a strategic advantage for the BJP in the electoral arena.
As the nomination filing deadline approaches on March 27, the politicians in Madhya Pradesh are set for an intense battle, with the BJP deploying its star-studded lineup to sway the electorate in its favour.
Other than the list for Madhya Pradesh, BJP has released the list of star campaigners for West Bengal, which will witness polling in all seven phases commencing on April 19. The Election Commission declared the dates for the 18th General Elections in Bharat, on March 16. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
The Election Commission mentioned 102 constituencies will go for polls in the first phase on April 19, followed by 89 constituencies in the second phase on April 26. The third phase will be held on May 7, the fourth on May 13, the fifth on May 20, the sixth on May 25 and the seventh and the last phase on June 1. In the first phase, 102 constituencies will go for polls, 89 constituencies in the second phase, 94 constituencies in the third, 96 in the fourth phase, 49 in the fifth phase, 57 in the sixth phase and 57 in the seventh phase.
